Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am a young photographer, photography gave me my life back, but so did raising awareness of invisible illnesses through it, i started with landscapes and architecture but when my Psoriasis kept me housebound (no joke) i lost my hair through it suffocating my hair follicles.... and then all the creams and treatments, one point in my life, i stayed at home five days per week, because the creams required a four and half hour applications and washes daily, nobody realised how bad it could get, it restrained me to one day of photography per week, even then i was exausted with the coexisting pain of arthritis, later correctly diagnosed psoratic arthritis, i couldnt do the creams anymore, i hurt from the skin splitting to the joint pain, but yet i look so well...they say.

It wasnt until one day whilst putting my makeup on in the mirror(when i could as it was on my face too!) i seen the camera in the background....a DSLR, I then wondered why i was using a phone to still take self portraits! Seemed ..silly really!,

When my Psoriasis become somewhat under control..i got infront of the camera to raise awareness for all these invisible illnesses...and will continue so until someone, like me trapped inside the illness, could find their hope for me it was the photography, i also love poetry but photography was/is my vice, but to do something different i went with 29 poems about Psoriasis and the comorbid illnesses that run along side them which almost...ruined my entire life...take some time to think Psoriasis may sometimes be visible or invisible, along with the pain of the splitting skin, bleeding on occasions and also the severe joint pain that runs along side it....thank you

I will post my poetry through my twitter, or with help hopefully of the Psoriasis Association
