Matty and I are walking with fellow DITC Kiltwalkers to take on The Big Stroll (14.2 miles) from Clydebank to Balloch on 28th April 2024!
Any donation, big or small, really does make a difference to the vulnerable people that Diamonds in The Community support across Airdrie and the wider North Lanarkshire community.
This year the DITC Kiltwalkers will be walking in memory of John Sheridan, a valuable member or the DITC team and volunteer who sadly passed away recently.
Diamonds in the Community (DITC) is a charity which was set up to better the lives of those living in our community. DITC provides projects such as; Football Memories, Chit Chat Cafe, Art Classes, Walking Football, Walk and Talk Club, KitAid. DITC also runs the Monklands Baby and Clothing Bank, Winter Jacket scheme, as well as the Home Comforts project which supports those who are in most need in our community. These two projects offer free support and provide a wide range of items from clothing and nappies to household items, bedding, furniture and appliances.
DITC work alongside other partner organisations to support and assist the most vulnerable people in our community; often those who are isolated, struggling with mental health needs, fleeing violence, living in poverty or have a history of homelessness or other social issue.
