We will joining a group of fundraisers walking up Helvellyn to raise money for Rak's Trust.  Hopefully the weather holds up!

Rak's Trust was setup on behalf and in memory of Flight Lieutenant Rakesh Chauhan who was onboard the Lynx helicopter that crashed in April 2014 in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan. 

The money raised for this event will go directly towards the construction of a school block in Nepal. This is part of the Gurkha Welfare Trust's (GWT) schools project. The GWT has been supporting British Gurkha veterans for over 6o years. More recently since the 2015 earthquake, GWT has been supporting the wider community in Nepal to rebuild essential infrastructure and services.
