Anne Örtegren was an outstanding international advocate, great friend to Invest in ME Research, and generous fellow supporter of our fundraising for the charity's UK/European Centre of Excellence for ME biomedical research and medical education initiatives. 

Initiatives by the charity in honour of Anne's memory since she passed away in January 2018: 

funding a new 3-year joint UK-Sweden PhD studentship for the ME research programme at Quadram Institute starting January 2020-

Anne Örtegren Memorial Lecture given by Professor Stuart Bevan on Pain and ME/CFS at IIMEC14 in May 2019-

European ME Clinicians Council, formed January 2019-

Inaugural Anne Örtegren Memorial Lecture given by Professor Theoharis C. Theoharides on Mast Cells and ME/CFS at IIMEC13 in June 2018-
