Fundraising in honour of Edward Parlour, a husband,  father and grandfather who we all miss so much.

Edward was an amazing man who meant so much to so many. His family were his first love and with them he shared so many great memories.

His passing on Remembrance Weekend coincides with the fact that he was a veteran of the Royal Navy and he served his country at sea in the 1991 Gulf war.

Another one of Edward's passions was rugby, notably because he could share the sport with his two sons and all three were members of Helston Rugby Club during their time living in Cornwall and latterly, Blackpool Rugby Club, who Edward served in a variety of roles for nearly 14 years.

It was Frontotemporal Dementia that began to take Edward away from his beloved family. But still she battled on until Remembrance Saturday 2016,.

This Tribute Fund is to honour his tremendous spirit, and to raise money for Alzheimer's Society to help provide support to those affected by dementia, and to hopefully finally find a cure. The idea to set this up originated from May 2017, when Edward's youngest son, Chris and three friends ran the Liverpool Half Marathon, raising £2021.51 for Alzheimers UK https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/chris-parlour-running-for-dad.

He was a loving and caring father, who touched so many people's hearts through his life. He leaves behind his beloved wife Annette Parlour, children, Richard, Christopher, Katie and Carol and Grandchildren Lucy, Chloe and Olivia, and so many other friends and family, all of whom will miss him greatly and hold many fond memories of him forever.
