Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page.

Many of you will know that last year my uncle lost his battle with Cancer and passed away on the 12th of October.

Andy raised a phenomenal £25k for Mount Vernon and Beating Bowl Cancer last March in organising a Charity Golf Day. A further 6k was raised with the kind donations made by family and friends in Andy’s memory following his funeral.

I will be swimming Lake Windermere in June this year - an outdoor water event which is a length of 5k. Cut off times do apply however and so I have to do this in just 2 hours! I am doing this to honour my uncle and fingers crossed continue to raise money for this good cause.

You have all been so generous in donating to this charity that helped Andy in the time he needed it most. Many of you will have relatives or friends that may have also relied on their services, or unfortunately may be using them today.

I hope by continuing to support Mount Vernon, we are keeping Andy’s memory alive and giving people the hope that one day, we will beat cancer.
