Did you know that patients with Kidney Failure suffer constant restrictions on living a normal live?

In most cases, patients have to attend a Renal Unit up to three times per week and be connected to a Heamodialisys Machine

(that’s an artificial kidney) to you and me, to get their blood "washed" for 4 or more hours.

 

Many of these Patients will not be able to work in normal jobs like everyone else, even though in many cases they would be able too.

They will also not be able to ever go on a holiday, unless there is a Renal Unit nearby, which unfortunately many holiday destinations would not be able to offer.

 Their lives very much revolves around regular visits to a Renal Unit and whilst on the ward in their Reclining Chairs, would

spend their time reading, watching TV, listening to Radio or just having a nap.

 

Whist most patients experience little problems throughout their dialysis, others may experience Headaches or Nausea.

 Unfortunately, there is no government funding to cater for many of the things that everyone else would take for granted,

so please can I ask you to dig deep to support the Renal Service Gift Fund that is constantly trying to make the live of Kidney Failure Patients that little be more bearable.
