Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Neither Will or I have ever run a Marathon, in fact, we have never knowingly passed the 6 miles barrier, but there are some things that are worth the effort. We are looking in all to support three charities, hence the joint page:-
WWF - My wife Marion worked for WWF for several years and while their logo may be the panda, that is just the beginning of what the organisation is interested in. There are animal projects, tree plantations to protect habitats farm worker training, support for rangers and anti-poaching support. If we want our planet to be protected for our children, we need to engage with WWF: http://www.wwf.org.uk
Viva International - is a Christian organisation supporting, enabling and resourcing various projects across the world in under-developed areas so that the Nationals themselves can provide the teaching of students, hospital care and improve sanitation in the most suitable way. Having visited Uganda to look at a number of their sponsored projects, this is something that touches the heart and soul. To find out more about the amazing work that they are involved with, follow the attached link: http://www.viva.org/programme.aspx
The Ben Williams Trust-provides support to children with abnormal heart rhythms and their families. Ben was a child in my (Will's) class at school who suffered a heart attack suddenly. The Ben Williams Trust seeks to fund the creation of specialist posts at the Royal Brompton Hospital in partnership with youth cricket schemes. Having known Ben it only seems right that some of hyena money raised goes to aiding this charity. (Reg. 1116627) To find out more visit benwilliamstrust.org.uk
