My sister-in-law Kath has been through Chemotherapy & Radiation treatment for the last year.  She will be on Tamoxifen for the next 5 years, this drug was discovered by Cancer Research UK and is for the treatment of oestrogen driven breast cancer.  Her cancer presented itself as a flattened area where she would get shooting pains when driving.  There was no obvious lump, so her doctor refered her to Cheltenham General for tests as a precaution and the specialist found the cancer using ultra sound.  Kath has returned to work Walls Icecream in Gloucester and is gradually building up her hours and hopes to resume her proper shift pattern after Christmas. 

My cousin Roland has bowel cancer.  He had a major operation and started chemotherapy treatment but he suffered a set back so the chemo had to be stopped...
