Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 16 October 2022 I will be running my first ever marathon around the scenic Loch Rannoch in Perthshire.
In August 2017, just 10 months after my brain haemorrhage, my husband, Gary, became very unwell and was admitted to hospital where he was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. This is an auto-immune disease which continues to affect his life and requires ongoing treatment.
We are still searching for the best treatment for him so I'm running this marathon for Crohns & Colitis UK, who support pioneering research into inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) with the hope of one day finding a cure.
Crohn's & Colitis UK are the UK's leading charity for Crohn's and Colitis. Right now, over 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. I am running to support Crohn's & Colitis UK, and your donation can help Crohn's & Colitis UK's mission to improve diagnosis and treatment; to fund research and raise awareness.
