Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In April / May this year our 2 year old Eric was very ill and in the children's for 11 days, he was eventually diagnosed with Kawasaki's disease. Kawasaki's is a rare form of vasculitis that caused an aneurism on Eric's heart. After a very intense treatment regime he is now on the road to a full recovery. He has now put all his weight back on and apart from being anaemic his aneurism has gone and he will live a normal life- we are very lucky!
I am doing the Sheffield 10k run to raise some money to say thanks, thanks to all the Doctors who figured out what was wrong with our son. This wasn't easy as he didnt respond to the initial diagnosis, it took a team of consultants to figure out it was atypical kawasaki. We want to say thanks to all the Nurses and HCA's who worked tirelessly to make him better and support our family and a thank you to everyone else who helps keeps the wheels of this hospital turning.
Please donate what you can, times are hard and even the smallest donation can make a big difference, even sharing this post will make a difference.
Thank you,
Richard, Kristy & Eric
