I can't quite believe that 10 years ago I was almost ready to take on my first GNR. I certainly didn't think that it was just the beginning of a whole family effort to raise funds for the wonderful charity that is the Percy Hedley Foundation.

This will be my 10th, Declan's 7th and Aisling's 1st GNR.

It's difficult to put into words how indebted we are, so we take on challenges to support the foundation. Niall has had a year at their college after 14 years at the school. In September he will return for a 2nd year. In the last year, we have seen him grow in confidence out in the community. The photo is of him taking part in a bucket collection in Newcastle earlier this month. He has done well at work experience; first at Café Beam, more recently at the Co-Op in Hexham. He is supported at every stage by the most fantastic team of dedicated staff who go above and beyond to help him achieve.

To each person who has sponsored us over the years, we are so grateful. We hope to raise a little more this year.
