Our amazing #TeamPercyHedley runners will be taking part in the world's biggest half marathon this year to help disabled children, young people and adults across the North East.
The Percy Hedley Foundation was set up in 1953 by a group of determined parents who wanted to find a way to meet the needs of their children with cerebral palsy. Sixty five years on, we are one of the best known charities in the North East, supporting over 1,000 people each year.
We provide a wide range of services that support people with cerebral palsy, communication impairments, sensory impairments, complex learning, social care and therapeutic needs. We run two schools and a college, children and adult residential care, and a range of adult services which encourage the development of enterprise, independence and employment.
Our vision is ‘inspire, believe, achieve’.
We believe that everyone we support has a right to live, learn and grow throughout their lives, and donations we receive from our amazing #TeamPercyHedley supporters will allow us to develop our services to ensure we meet the needs of everyone we support.
