To beat the world record of 32 days

The target time set on the route from Gran Canaria to Barbados is less than 32 days for the “Blue Riband Trophy”. Click here for more details http://www.oceanusrowing.co.uk/atlantic-speed-row-history/

Simon Chalk,of Oceanus Rowing, skipper of Toby Wallace, is arguably the worlds most experienced ocean rower. To date Simon has rowed the Atlantic seven times and the Indian twice, skippering all number of crews and holds lots of Guinness World Records for his endeavors, including the “most ocean rows by one person”
So with our incredible skipper, me, along with 6 other mad but motivated individuals, a training program, a rota of 4 rowing, 4 resting, 2hrs on 2hrs off, a lot of sun cream, & dried food,  we will set off to the Canaries on 23rd January 2016, with an estimated departure date of 31/1 dependent on the right weather window.

I am raising funds for this amazing service, that saves lives every day, is totally run from donations, and you just never know when you or a loved one might need it. Also, my dear friend Captain Peter Barnes, who died in the helicopter crash in Vauxhall in 2013, flew for Midlands Air Ambulance, what better way to remember & honour him and all he did.
