Ride For Joe - LEJOG (Lands End to John ‘o’ Groats) how many times in a day challenge.
This 31st May this year marks 3 years since we lost Joe. Every year we have tried to keep his memory alive by celebrating his life through the annual ‘Ride For Joe’ sportive, raising money for the Air Ambulance Service - and despite the challenges and restrictions involved we intend to do the same this year.
As you all know we can’t meet up and ride as groups of friends, but we can dedicate a ride to Joe and raise money for the Air Ambulance who have seen their revenues drop considerably over the past 3 months.

The plan is:
To see how many times we can collectively ride LEJOG (Lands End to John O’Groats) by you dedicating your ride on the 12th July to Joe.

How.
Your ride can be anything involving a bike including Ebikes, Mountain Bikes, Track Bikes in fact any cycling discipline. You can do this whenever you want on the 12th July. This can be on a Turbo/ Rollers, around your garden, front room, whilst shopping/commuting if you want- so long as it involves a bike and you can somehow record the distance. I
We have set up a Ride For Joe tag within Strava https://www.strava.com/clubs/Rideforjoe2020 and you can title your Ride – ‘Ride For Joe 2020’.
We have Facebook https://www.facebook.com/events/224876798699546 and Twitter accounts and again log your miles and pictures here using #rideforjoe2020.
You can message/Email/Text/Whatsapp/Instagram us with your mileage and pictures and will post (with your permission) your ride on Social Media.
Joes family and a few friends will be riding the route and we will share this as it progresses over all of the platforms.
