Story

BCF's Charity Cycle: Ride Warwickshire 2022 is back for its second year on Friday 1st July 2022.

The route will start at the BCF office, Spectra House in Coventry, CV4 8HS and take in the scenic countryside and villages through Warwickshire. There will be three distances available - 100km, 50km & 30km. The 100km & 50km rides will require grit and endurance to get to the finish line, whilst the 30km is a nice gentle ride that will challenge the novice.

BCF & it's members hope to raise as much money as possible for the Community Heartbeat Trust. The British Coatings Federation is in partnership with the Community Heartbeat Trust and BT to promote the installation of defibrillators in BT phone boxes across the UK through our Minutes Matter campaign.

About the charity

The Community Heartbeat Trust helps communities undertake defibrillator projects taking into account the needs for the right equipment, the right support, the right adherence to liabilities and governance, community awareness and training programmes, and help with the fund raising and long term support for these projects. As the leading community defibrillator charity in the UK, we have become recognised by ambulance services, councils, community groups and sports governing bodies as the 'gold standard', having set many of the standards now being adopted by other organisations. We live, breath and are hugely passionate about community defibrillation in all its forms, and seek always to offer a holistic and objective advice to communities. We believe a defibrillator is for LIFE and not just for Christmas, and these medical devices should be available to save lives. But they are just that, a medical device, and must be treated with respect. A good project is not about just a defibrillator in the community, but one that forms part of a resilient process, addressing needs, and fully backed by Governance. www.communityheartbeat.org.uk
