Story
Guys, I have run various 10k and Half Marathons over the past and enjoy trying to keep fit (age and injuries permitting!). Recentley an old school friend published a link on Facebook and it really hit home to me.
Id love to raise money for the below charity.
Please donate what you can via web-page or text. This is for a great cause and any donations will really help Freddy.
HELP FREDDY WALK TALL
Freddy, was born prematurely, weighing only 3lb 8oz.Freddy suffered a bleed on the brain during his first 10 weeks of life. This resulted in a condition called Spastic Diplegia, a type of Cerebral Palsy. Freddy's condition means his muscles remain very tight which makes it difficult for him to simple things such as sitting with his legs outstreched in front of him, and also prevents him from walking on his own.
There is a life changing surgery called Selective Distal Rhizotomy (SDR) which will reduce the spasticity in Freddy's legs, which will improve his mobility and independence.
However, the operation and intensive physiotheray aftercare will cost upto £80,000 which is why I am doing this, and other fundraising events, to raise money. Freddy, now almost 4 years old, really wants to be like his big brother, Archie, and able to run around playing football, climbing and causing mischief (more than he does already). Please help me Help Freddy Walk Tall.
