Story
Would you like to share your thoughts on what it means to be a female in today's society, as well as donate money to a campaign for gender equality and potentially have your written submission included in a book? We are inviting all women and girls to donate a minimum of £2 to submit a positive sentence that begins with 'Because I'm a girl…’.
Entries must be submitted by end of Friday 29 January 2016.
'Because I am a girl' is a campaign run by the global children's charity International Plan UK. It supports millions of girls in getting the education, skills and support they need to move from poverty to a future of opportunity.
In support of this Campaign, Team Alpha is creating a bespoke children's book, which will include the strongest submissions and a donated illustration for each slogan. The book will be sold to raise money for Plan UK, and the winner will receive a £20 Amazon Gift Voucher and a free copy of the book. Other selected entries may also be included in the book. If selected, the name and age of the entrant will be included next to their slogan in the book, unless otherwise requested.
If you would like to enter the competition, please use the comment box to submit your slogan and ensure your name is included. Alternatively, you can email your sentence to Becky at rnorman@researchmedia.com. If you choose to do this, please ensure that when you make your donation your name is included so that we can confirm payment has been made.
