Story
As many of you will know we lost a great man, Darren Watkins (aka Wagon) to a horrible illness several years ago. During his fight he often mentioned that he wanted to do this ride again, having done it a few times before. We have been trying each year to complete this event but have been blocked each time by the pandemic, but this year we are going full tilt to complete this epic challenge.
There are several of us taking part (friends and family), we have also got great on route support from Darren's parents. We will be arriving at the Eiffel Tower in Paris on 24th March to commemorate Darren's birthday and be together as family and friends which were 2 of the most important things to him. I am sure he will be with us every pedal of the way demanding we go faster.
Saint Francis Hospice provided great care and support for Darren and his family at the most difficult time and this challenge is our way of saying thank you and for the charity to continue doing the work they do for other families that need it. I also have close connections to the charity through my own family and would like to help support them further.
Anything that you can give will be greatly appreciated and help a very worthy charity continue doing what they can in these difficult circumstances
