I am running 10K to raise money for Marine Conservation Society. I was recently in Greece, and when snorkeling there, I was amazed by the natural beauty of sealife. It gave me a new appreciation for the sea. 

There are so many reasons why we should look after our seas. 

The sea provides natural untouched balance to the earths ecosystem. It produces over half the worlds oxygen and absorbs 50 times more Carbon Dioxide than our atmosphere. It regulates our climate and weather patterns. At any given moment, the oceans contain 97% of the planets water. 

The ocean is also a source of mystery and great interest for humans. It is estimated that 80% of the earths oceans are unexplored. Protecting the ocean means protecting all of the earths ecosystems. Beaches, Lakes, Rainforests, Swamps, all rely directly on the health of the ocean. 

To survive and prosper, we need healthy oceans.
