Ah well I'm home after a most humbling, emotional and fun bike ride.

Met some amazing people and was an honour to ride along with our lads on handbikes. I have never seen such inspirational boys in my life. Never ever moaned about anything but just got on with the ride and had a laugh.

It was a hard ride with "undulating" countryside, glad I trained around the cotswolds.

The golf day was a great success and raised over a £1,000 and we will be running it again next year for the heroes.

I met some great people and will stay in touch.

Memorable moments;

meeting the veterans at Arromanches and Pegasus Bridge.

Meeting the injured soldiers on the ride and of course the wreath laying along the way.

The cycle ride itself through France's beautiful countryside.

Every day was a joy although hard at times.

Will I go again, YES in two years time if its in Europe and hope to take some others with me.

The support I have been given throughout the last six months has been tremendous, from Mike and Joe taking me out on rides and showing some great route's, everyone who has donated, bought tickets and donated prizes to Geoff who organised the golf and Russ who raised so much much from the staff at Ther Royal Mail.

Ann who put together prizes for raffles and stood all day at the golf club collecting money, selling tickets and helping in any way possible.
