Story

The event which has been arranged by my friends and Brothers at the Manchester Masons and the Manchester Level club, On August 14th 2021, I am going to jump out of a perfectly working aeroplane at 15,000 feet (Thats 3 miles up!)..... but it is all for a good cause.

The jump will be at Hibaldstow, North Lincolnshire and I will be having it recorded to share with you after.

For a bit of encouragement I am asking if you can make a donation, it doesn't have to be a lot, just what you can afford, even £1 helps. So give what you can and if enough is raised I won't be able to back out!!

So most of you know me, what a lot of you probably don't know is I am a Freemason in a lodge called Leicestershire & Rutland Rotary Lodge No. 9158. One of our main aims as Freemasons is to raise funds for local charities and give support to the MCF, The Masonic Charitable Foundation.

As you will see if you follow the above link, the MCF help our communities in life changing ways. The funds raised and distributed go to the most worthy causes and improve the lives of so many people

We collectively as the Province of Leicestershire and Rutland aim to raise 1.8 million pounds by 2022 as part of our "Festival 2022" which has been running since 2017 and as like most things in the world, our fund raising has been hampered by the pandemic. Now we are slowly getting back to normal, I wanted to do my small part in helping us reach that target.

The funds that we collectively raise over the 5 year festivals do not sit in a pot waiting to get bigger and bigger, they come in, and they go out just as quickly. Here is a list of the latest grants the MCF have made. I am sure you will agree they are all worthwhile causes:

This is actually the second fund raising page for this event as the first did not allow me to collect gift aid which is worth an additional 25p in every pound donated.

A list of the very generous donors who collectively donated £490 in 36 hours on the first page can be seen in the gallery  by clicking the icon on the cover photo above

Every pound I can raise will be donated to the MCF via my lodge and will help improve the lives of people less fortunate than ourselves.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, please give what you can.
