Over the past couple of years I have found a love of running, and those who know me will know that I have never had a love of anything physical nor am I naturally built for it. However, with the encourage from my wife I have embarked on the biggest challenge I have ever set myself.

The London Marathon has always been something that I have been an observer of.  Never thinking that I would one day be there running it, the thought still scares me, but the support and encouragement that I have already received has been unbelievable. Its this support that has given me the confidence to believe in myself.

Along the way I would like to support NASS, a society that does great work for suffers of AS and their families, helping them manage the condition. Those who know me and my family well will know that my Mum, behind the brave front and smile suffers on a daily basis. The pain she endures, the discomfort and debilitating symptoms of the condition is heart breaking to see. I  have seen her at her best and unfortunately at her worst, this invisible disease can allow a normal life one day and be crippling the next. Treatment can help and hinder, which is why the support of NASS is so important. 

NASS is amazing, not only do they support AS suffers. They support and encourage their supporters. I have had endless support from NASS from my first Cardiff Half Marathon, and every step since. They have been there with genuine messages of support like I am one of their own family, and every time I struggle I remember that NASS needs me to keep going and they will be helping people like my mum.

If you are able to help me raise awareness and funds that are greatly needed for NASS to continue the amazing job they do, and allow them to continue helping others like my mum. I would be forever grateful.
