We do all manner of crazy things to fundraise for three amazing charities

Story

At the end of May this year, I will be taking part in the Edinburgh Marathon alongside nine other students from St Andrews University to raise money for the Students Association Bursary Fund. St Andrews is a fantastic university, and I feel incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to study here. However, many students find themselves unable to due to the high living costs, meaning individuals miss out on the chance of a brilliant education, and the university is impoverished by losing many potential students.

The Students Association Bursary Fund will tackle this problem by providing financial support to students from a less well-off background. This is a particularly fitting way to celebrate the university's 600th anniversary, and will provide a lasting legacy which will benefit students for years to come.

My target to fundraise is £600, so please donate whatever you can - not only will you be helping towards the fund, but it might also provide enough motivation for me to struggle across the finish line come May 26th (though don't expect anything too flashy time-wise...)! Thankyou :)

About the charity
