Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This particular charity means a lot to me (for very selfish reasons), as it's backed by the Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust and the Kent Oncology Centre.  The amazing staff at the Kent & Sussex and Maidstone hospitals' ICU departments undoubtedly saved my life four years ago, when I nearly died from Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and other complications. 

The walk starts at Pembury Hospital (where I still have six-monthly check-ups) and finishes at Maidstone Hospital, where I spent three memorable months receiving chemo, physio and generally recuperating, learning to walk again, etc.  (Part of it was also spent in Baltimore helping McNulty capture drug dealers in The Wire, as well as time-travelling – thanks, morphine!)  The Kent Oncology Centre's garden was a fantastic, tranquil place to relax and forget about all the nasty stuff going on.
