Story
If you know me at all then you know that fitness and exercise is not my thing. To put that into perspective, today (8th September 2019) I ran or rather jogged a just over a mile in around 10 minutes before having to stop and walk the last 500 yards home. In 8 months time I will be taking on the Rat Race Dirty Weekend with 4 others, we will be running 20 miles and attempting 200 crazy obstacles. My guess is the 4 of them are all much fitter than I am.
In the first instance my target is to get fit enough to complete the thing, over and above that I aim to raise a minimum of £500 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Last year my dad lost his five year battle with cancer after suffering from a rare neuroendocrine tumour. Macmillan had a support network in place which helped him through various points in his battle.
So, as much as I am doing this for me and Macmillan, most of all, Dad I am doing this for you!
Thanks for supporting my fundraising. Macmillan Cancer Support is here to help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, providing physical, financial and emotional support.
