Team: HRF Snowdon Hike 2021
HRF deployment to Bangladesh · 30 April 2021
*Update on amount raised in total*
The target is set at £3,700 because if this is reached then I will have reached a bigger target of £10,000 due to the help of 15 volunteers who joined me in July 2021 and did the Mount Snowdon hike. All 15 volunteers raised a minimum of £300 which went towards this cause - We raised £6300 by doing this hike! (If you click 'Team - HRF Snowdon hike 2021' under the title of the page, you will be able to see the overall amount.) Therefore, we just need £3700 to hit the 10k mark InShaAllah.
AssalamuAlaykum & hello to all.
As you may be aware, In April 2021 I visited Lebanon with HRF to visit syrian refugee camps. Allhamdulillah, thanks to your donations - we were able to provide 1500 families food packs that will last them a month. The experience was overwhelming to say the least - the stories I heard were heartbreaking yet the people were so kind & grateful it put so much into perspective.
Since being back, it just feels weird. Seeing what I saw, how they live but I’m back to my normal lifestyle (All praise be to Allah). I feel like I need to do more, and continue this sort of work as much as possible in the time I have in this dunya. There are so many other brothers & sisters around the world that are in need.
Allhamdulillah, I have made the intention to visit Bangladesh with HRF in October 2022 (Scheduled for Oct 2021 but got delayed due to covid at the time, then poor weather conditions among other issue out of our control.) to visit the Rohingya refugee camps to deliver aid first hand, as well as visit extremely poor places in Bangladesh to deliver aid. This aid will be basic essentials that we often take for granted - food, water, medical aid, shelter etc. The condition these brothers & sisters live in is dire. The hardship and suffering our Rohingya brothers/sisters have faced is unimaginable. They have gone through a genocide.. They’ve suffered torture. Our Bangladeshi brothers & sisters have been facing such extremes poverty for their whole lives, this is normality to them when it shouldn’t. InShaAllah I’ll be visiting these refugees, Bangladeshi orphans & locals to first hand to hear their stories, deliver aid but also deliver love, hope & smiles inShaAllah.
Donate generously! And share with others. If everyone reading this donates £5 and shares with 5 others to do the same, we can hit this target and make a difference InShaAllah. I’ll show you first hand where your donations willl go & the difference it’ll make.
Love,
Your brother - Murad.
