Story
In July 2021 we will be travelling to Wales to take on the Snowdon Hike. Snowdon is the tallest mountain in Wales measuring at 1,085 metres high! We will be taking on this challenge to try raise funds our Rohingya Refugees & the poor in Bangladesh.
Rohingya refugees have suffered tremendous trauma. They have gone through a genocide. They have witnessed people get killed, beaten to death, burnt to death & raped, SubhanAllah. The hardships our brothers & sisters have faced is unimaginable. Many have now taken refuge in Cox Bazar in Bangladesh. However, living conditions are still so poor. They are in desperate need for basic essentials. In March 2021, the refugee camps caught on fire unfortunately, displacing 45,000 refugees. SubhanAllah, imagine after all the hardships they have fought, to still having to face such disaster. We must help them.
Bangladesh has a population of 170 million (approx) with almost 50 million falling under the poverty line, with a significant percentage of that facing extreme poverty. Basic essentials such as food, water, clothes, shelter & medical aid is things they are in desperate need for. We must help them.
We are so blessed to live in UK and to have the luxuries we have. It is deeply saddening to think many of these brothers & sisters will face hardships like this majority of their lives. However, we can help! We must unite, and help our brothers & sisters. It is our duty as muslims to try help them. Therefore, we will be taking on the Snowdon challenge. As tough as it may be, it will never compare to the hardship these brothers & sisters face on a daily basis. So please, if you are reading this - donate whatever you can. No donation is too small.
