Story

On the 16th June, I'll be taking part in the annual London to Brighton bike ride. Typically, entrants raise money for the British Heart Foundation, but on this occasion I would like to raise as much money as possible for the Campaign Against Living Miserably.

As you may know, last year we lost Stefan, my brother-in-law. He is missed terribly by us all, and through this tragedy we became aware of this great charity, that tries to help people who feel similar to the way Stefan was feeling.

I hope by donning my cycling shorts and getting on my bike, I can raise as much money as possible for CALM.

Training has been sporadic...but fingers crossed I should make it in one piece... and not too sore in certain areas.

About the charity

We’re the Campaign Against Living Miserably and we’re taking a stand against suicide. That means standing against feeling hopeless, standing up to stereotypes and showing life is always worth living.125 lives are lost every week to suicide. 75% of all UK suicides are male. We exist to change this.
