UPDATE 19/07/18 - 250GBP target achieved!! Raising target to 500GBP... thanks everyone for donating!
We are a group of fourteen 15/16 year olds taking part in NCS with Concordia. For our social action project, we have organised with the Adur Canoe Club to partake in a litter pick on the River Adur, using canoes.
The event will take place next week, on Wednesday July 25th, at 10am, at the Adur Canoe Club.
This event will be in aid of the Marine Conservation Society, we decided to fundraise for them as, during discussions within the group, it was discovered that we all have a passion for the the environment and the animals that live in our seas, MCS work tirelessly to help improve and save the lives of marine life and the habitats they live in, without donations, their work wouldn’t be possible, hence we decided to support them.
There are over 5.25 trillion pieces of rubbish in the ocean, we hope to bring awareness to this.
The event will be guided by the Adur Canoe Club and NCS leaders.
This event has taken lots of preparation and we are very excited to take part in it.
We are grateful for any and all donations for this important charity, who work tirelessly to keep our seas clean and our marine life healthy.
