As you know there has been a terrible disaster Hurricane Matthew that has hit the Caribbean island of Haiti 6 days ago on the 7/10/16. It is now being reported that more than 1000 people have died through this tragedy. Bridges, houses and crops have been destroyed.

This story is now out of UK media, and I haven't seen any recent charity appeals from the big major charities on TV, so I thought rather than shake my head and say 'how awful this is', I decided I would find a charity that is working directly with Haiti to provide practical help and hope to the people of Haiti.

Team Rubicon is an international disaster response charity that unites the skills and experiences of military veterans with first responders to rapidly deploy disaster response teams to communities affected by disasters across the globe, including medical help.
