Story
Hi, my name is Ross and I've decided to run the London Marathon on 23rd April 2023 to raise money for Thames Valley Air Ambulance (TVAA).
TVAA is the charity that gives everybody in the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire community the best chance of surviving and recovering from an emergency. They serve a community of more than 2 million people, by land and by air, and were called out to 2,880 incidents last year alone. Each call-out costs TVAA £3,900 and since they do not receive any funding from the Government or National Lottery, they rely on the generosity of supporters to fund their life critical support.
In 2014, TVAA were called out to help my brother who was a senior GB international trampolinist and had a major accident in training. It is thanks to their swift action and treatment that he was able to get to the hospital in time to save his foot and enable him to jump back to normality as quickly as he did. The money I raise by completing this marathon is a thank you to the charity for their hard work both for my family and the community. Any donations big or small would be so appreciated, thanks.
Ross
