The Challenge: Join the team on June 28 for our annual cycling ride for Neve. You can take on the full loop - 112km and 1,600m of climbing or enjoy a more relaxed 70km, with amazing scenary and plenty of cafe stops!

Why: Neve has battled with Dravet Syndrome since she was 4-months-old. Dravet Syndrome is a catastrophic epilepsy syndrome that means Neve has had literally thousands of seizures and her condition affects every aspect of her life. She is Autistic, is cognitively and developmentally delayed and has difficulties with her gross and fine motor skills. Her seizures are life threatening and there is no cure. She is also at high risk of SUDEP (Sudden Unexplained Death in Epilepsy). Her family work tirelessly to ensure that Neve has the best life possible and Neve does a number of therapies to help her physical, emotional and cognitive development. Neve has always had poor core strength, low muscle tone and hypermobility but is now having to deal with a crouched gait and scoliosis, requiring a spinal brace and potentially spinal surgery in the coming years. Regular therapies cost her parents over £3000 a year.

What it will Fund: Funds raised for Neve will help pay for weekly Special Needs Yoga and physiotherapy and fortnightly Cranial Osteopathy. Additional therapies, when Neve is well enough, include Music Therapy, Hydrotherapy, a Special Needs Dance class and Riding for the Disabled. Funds may also be used to pay for specialist equipment/medical aids such as a supportive seating and physiotherapy equipment.

Neve really is such a special young lady. She has to endure so much but still has the biggest smile and finds joy in the simplest things. She battles her condition with incredible bravery and your donation will be hugely beneficial to her and her family.
