Royal Quays Marina boatfolk is raising money for Disasters Emergency Committee

Team: boatfolk emergency fundraiser for Turkey and Syria earthquake victims

Royal Quays Marina's Prize Draw for Disasters Emergency Committee · 24 February 2023

At times of overseas emergency, the DEC brings together a unique alliance of the UK's aid, corporate, public and broadcasting sectors to rally the nation's compassion, and ensure that funds raised go to DEC agencies best placed to deliver effective and timely relief to people most in need.

Story

All donations are welcome and if you make a contribution of at least £5 then you will be entered into a draw to win one of the pledges generously donated by supporters of Royal Quays Marina.

See below for list of prizes generously pledged so far.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION PLEASE READ: If you make a donation of £5 (or more, if you can) and want to be entered into the draw then please leave some information (eg name of your boat, your Marina berth number, your boatfolk account number, or full name) in the 'Add a Message' box before making your donation so that we can identify donors. This is needed so that we can contact you. Please note that if you don't provide us with some identifying information then we can't enter you in the draw. The information will only be used to contact prize winners.

Alternatively you can email us at Royal Quays Marina to let us know you've donated and would like to be entered in the draw - royalquays@boatfolk.co.uk

Unfortunately we can't automatically get information about who has donated from JustGiving, so if you want to be entered into the prize drawn then you MUST LET US KNOW.

Everyone who donates at least a fiver will go into the draw which will take place at midday on Monday 20th March 2023.

A message from boatfolk:

"We feel strongly that we should put the might of our boatfolk community behind the rescue and relief efforts and help raise vital funds. Each of the teams at our 11 marinas have put their heads together and are doing what they do best; putting on a good show! Each marina is doing something different - from walking the plank in Haslar, a raffle at Rhu, a prize draw at Royal Quays, and a 24 hour sponsored row-a-thon at Portland. It's all going to a good cause - the Disasters Emergency Committee Turkey-Syria Earthquake Appeal."
