My son, Hamish, was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease in 2017 at the age of two. 

Hamish has had several life changing operations in attempts to make his body safe to transplant a new kidney into.

I am lucky enough to be a living donor match so that Hamish can have one of my kidneys later this year; to give him the best chance and quality of life as he grows through childhood.

I am running the London Marathon in 2019 before I donate one of my kidneys to Hamish. I want to do this to raise awareness as well as support for Kidney Care UK; who help hundreds of patients just like Hamish cope with the challenges of facing a life with kidney disease.
