Story
Many of you who know me know I like to run, usually just to clear my mind, keep in shape, and challenge myself. This year, I'm going to run 36 races (or more) to celebrate my 36th year on the planet. As I get older, cancer seems to be affecting more and more people in my life so I thought this would be a good opportunity to raise money for a good cause. Recently, my grandfather (the Chief), lost his battle with stomach cancer. My goal is to raise at least $2,000 for "No Stomach for Cancer", but I need your help! Here are a few ways you can donate:
1) Donate a set amount. Every dollar counts. There is no donation too small!
2) Pledge an amount per race I finish. For example, $1 per race would add up to a $36 donation.
3) Pledge an amount per mile I run. I'm planning on running some 5ks (3.1 miles) and some half marathons (13. 1 miles), but most of my races will be 10ks (6.2 miles). It should average to about 250 miles. For example, $0.25 a mile would be about a $62 donation.
For options 2 and 3, just let me know how much you want to pledge per mile or race on my Facebook event https://www.facebook.com/events/1811682482414452/ (or private message me) and I will add you to my donor pledge form. I will keep you updated throughout the year and you can make your donation at the end of 2017, when I've finished.
