In memory of Stephen Thompson

Story

My 6th and hardest Great North Run to date.

As I didnt get a ballot place I chose to get a place through British Heart Foundation and once i have raised the minimum of £350 for them I will concentrate on the Foundation. If you wish to split your donation into two then my other page is http://www.justgiving.com/Jonathan-Ayre-BHF

The Great North Run has been part of my life for the last 6 years. It was back in 2006 when Stephen encouraged me to take up running and he continued to encourage me, support me and train with me through each Great North Run since then.

I don't need to put anymore as you will all know why this will be a hard run for me.

About the charity

‘The Stephen Thompson Foundation’ was set up in December 2011. Following the tragic death of Stephen, those close to him were left with an overwhelming need to do something to help and to keep his memory alive by turning sadness into something positive. http://www.stephenthompsonfoundation.org/
