RED January 2019 · 1 January 2019 to 31 January 2019 ·

We're proud to be partnering with RED January this year, helping motivate people to get active every day in January to support their mental health. RED January is about getting active, your way, whether that's running, walking, swimming or cycling

Story

In January 2019 I'm taking part in 'RED January', to raise funds for a brilliant charity, Tyneside and Northumberland Mind. Although you don't actually have to 'Run Every Day' to take part - you simply have to commit to getting active in some way throughout the month - running every day is what I aim to do.

As a secondary goal I'll try to run at least 147 miles over the month. This is the length of my regular train route between Manchester Victoria and Newcastle - although I've no plans to run the actual route between the two cities!

I'll post regular updates and photos on my running blog at https://runnerinthenight.wordpress.com/

Please consider sponsoring me! Tyneside and Northumberland Mind provide mental health support and services throughout our region for those who need it most. Through counselling, peer support groups, wellbeing groups, family support workers, training and awareness raising, they are there to ensure anyone, in their area, has somewhere to turn for advice and support.
