Story
Hello,
I lost my Dad to Multiple Sclerosis in 2006 and since then I have been passionate about fundraising for the condition and in particular the MS Society Scotland who have supported me through many events I have done for the charity.
As we are in uncertain times at the moment, I thought I would do something to raise awareness of the condition and help to support sufferers and their families.
I am going to run two half marathons on the weekend of the 20th and the 21st June (which also happens to be Father’s Day). On Saturday I will complete a half marathon in my local area along with my friend Ross. On Sunday, I will be running 13.1 miles around my estate. I will begin both runs at 10am.
We also had a bit of a clear out during lockdown and will be putting books, CDs, DVDs etc. outside of our house and asking for donations for the MS Society on Saturday 20th between 9.30am and 2pm. Something between a car boot sale and a garage sale. Pop by and have a gander! If you need our address, send Nicola a message because I'll be running.
Many of you will be aware that during lockdown, I have put on many live music sessions on Facebook. So, on the Saturday evening at 7.30pm I will also perform a live acoustic set.
I understand that it’s a tough time at the moment but if you could support me in my fundraising efforts and could donate anything towards the MS Society Scotland, it will be very much appreciated.
Thank you so much,
David
