The Challenge…. to climb Kilimanjaro, the highest freestanding mountain in the world, raising funds for Featherstale Children’s Village, Tanzania an eco community, housing special needs children. .

Story

Well we did it! Summited at about 7am on Wednesday the 20th of June. Weather was exceptionally harsh with the wind chill taking temperatures  down to Minus 25 Degrees at the top. Easily the hardest thing I've ever done physically & the extra motivation that I got from the fact that I was climbing not just for myself, was absolutely crucial at times.

Thanks to the generosity of my supporters I have smashed my initial personal financial target & collectively the climb has comfortably made enough  to build a new accommodation block for up to thirty children at Feathers Tale Children's village. We visited the project before we set off & it was an amazing thing to actually meet the kids we were helping.
