Story
Severn Trent Trust Fund is celebrating 20 years of helping people out of debt and poverty.
To celebrate, we decided to reach out to those millions of families across the world who don't have direct access to water. With this in mind we have set a target of £20,000 to raise money for Water Aid by end of April 2018.
As many of you know, I have already completed the Sutton Fun Run in June. However, I am now pushing myself further out of my comfort zone and will be taking part in a number of challenging events during this year. My aim is to raise at least £1,000.
Here's a little taster of what I will be doing:
- Jumping out of a plane on 8th September 2017 - petrifies me!
- Cycling 50km on a static bike during one sitting
- Swimming 50 lengths of Wyndley in one evening
Most of these challenges are things that I would never choose to do. However, this is for such a worthwhile cause and I am willing to put myself to the test even though I will be panicked jumping out of a plane and I'm not a confident swimmer.
I would be really grateful if you could help me to raise money for this cause! Any donation, large or small will make such a difference to someone else's life.
Everything raised between 1st November and 31st January will be doubled by the UK Government up to £5 million, and will help 250,000 people around the world get clean water for the very first time.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
