Story
The combined sailors from Stamford School, Oakham School and Rutland Sailing Club youth and juniors are raising funds for the RNLI - the charity that saves lives at sea. In that spirit we aim to 'save' rubber ducks (100s of them!) on Rutland Water.
The evening will start with an Olympic torch relay (afloat) and then the young sailors will set out to rescue 100s of rubber ducks. At twilight we'll camp and sail again from dawn (sunrise is 04:35) until 08:00.
This is a fun event with a very serious purpose.
