Ukraine has faced almost eight years of conflict. With recent events, we want to be there for everyone who needs us

Story

Having met on the competitive Cadet sailing circuit, Josh Davidson (South Cerney SC) and Hettie Thorogood (Waldringfield SC) are used to spending hours on the water in tough conditions. However 12 hours, non-stop will be with longest they have ever sailed in a their two handed Cadet youth sailing dinghy.

The Rules - 12hrs on the waters of South Cerney, sailing a pre determined course. Minimum "comfort breaks" with one sailor remaining in the boat at all times.

The plan is to sail on the 21st of April but obviously this is wind dependent!

The Cadet is a youth sailing dinghy sailed all over the world. Our Ukrainian sailors have been deeply affected by the war and the International Cadet Class has stepped up to help out. The Poland Cadet Class have welcomed our Ukrainian sailors into their homes and the UK Cadets have sent sailing kit to help get them out on the water. Hettie and Josh would like to show their support by raising money for the Red Cross Disasters fund.
