Imagine arriving to the UK after fleeing a conflict in Ukraine or elsewhere. You now have no transport and very limited resources. A bike can really help - for transport, mental health and fun! We give 10 bikes to refugees every month.

Story

USTA TRIATHLON AND ROAD CYCLING NEEDS YOUR HELP!!!!

On Friday the 27th of January, the University of St Andrews Triathlon and Road Cycling Club will be completing a continuous overnight cycle relay from 7pm-7am. Members will be cycling in teams of two for an hour at a time, through the night.

Are we nutts? Well... yes, but it's all in the name of a great cause! We're raising money for Bikes for Refugees Scotland, a charity that aims to support the resettlement of socio-economically disadvantaged and isolated New Scots through the upcycling and provision of free bicycles and the transformational power of cycling.

The club undoubtedly realises the benefit bikes provide in the form of a free and sustainable means of transportation to support access to essential services as well as an important way to meet new people, and to keep physically and mentally healthy.

This is where you come in: A donation of just £5 could make a real difference and help us reach our goal of raising £200 by Sunday evening. Please help us get there!

Updates will be posted on our instagram throughout the night so please follow us on @ustatriathlon if you'd like a piece of the action!

Happy cycling!!
