I am joining a group of YSJ alumni, staff and students as we take on the York 10k 2023 in support of the university's alumni-funded scholarship programme. These scholarships support underrepresented individuals who need help to access the education they deserve. These include students with low household incomes, mature students, students who are carers or have been in care, students who are parents, and those whose circumstances have drastically changed. 

Over the past 5 years we have supported 49 students throughout their academic journeys at York St John. Due to high demand and lack of funds this means that only 22% of those applying for our scholarship fund are successful. 

That is why we need you! With your support we can open the door to education for even more students. Please do give what you can and every penny will be hugely appreciated by our students of the future.
