For those of you that know me well you will be aware that since joining Springfield Healthcare in Autumn 2016 I spend a lot of time in Care Homes seeing for myself people and their families living daily with the effects of dementia.  The only way to beat dementia is research.

So I've decided to try and make a difference myself and also to show Jasmin and Ruby (my gorgeous daughters) that anyone can make a difference if they want to. In April 2018 I will be climbing 5 volcanoes in 7 days in Guatemala including Tajumulco, the highest peak in Central America at 4,220m.  I'll be going on an organised trip with a group of strangers whose aim is the same - raising money for research and hopefully inspiring others to do the same.
