I have decided to try out my new hips and 8 weeks after my last hip replacement I am attempting to swim the furthest I have ever swam! I am taking part in a half marathon swim (5km) in the Olympic pool at the London Aquatics Centre as part of the Marathon Swims series https://www.marathonswims.com/. 

I am doing this to raise money for Cancer Research in memory of 2 beautiful, strong women - my cousin Ami Powell and my sister in Law Hayley Makepeace - both lost their battles to cancer far to young but fought hard to the end with a smiles on their faces.
