The Lillian Goodfellow Group of Friends was created by Julie Hayward after the tragic passing of her mother, Lilian Goodfellow in January 1999. Ever since then, Julie Hayward and a group of her friends: Debra Wyatt, Jo Hayward and Tina Jacobs have endeavoured to raise money in the name of Lilian Goodfellow for Marie Curie Hospice in Solihull; a wonderful facility that has continued to help people through difficult times.
However, running the hospice is not cheap. On average, it costs around £11,000 a day to operate and provide much-needed care and support for those attending. Unfortunately, it doesn't receive any local authority or government funding and so relies solely upon generous donations from members of the public.
Since their formation in 1999, LGGF have raised £423,000 and are hoping to reach £500,000 by the end of their 20th year.
HUHO want to help them, in some small way, reach their target. Will you?
