Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.set up in memory of Sam Newton, who at the age of 42 sadly passed away following a sudden ruptured brain aneurysm.
Sam received excellent care and underwent successful surgery to address the aneurysm. She was making a remarkable recovery when the secondary effects of the initial subarachnoid haemorrhage resulted in vasospasm causing a fatal stroke.
Despite the best surgeons being involved with access to the most up to date technology there is currently no way to identify if, when or what the effects of vasospasm will be.
The National Brain Appeal supports neurological research into better understanding of brain function and abnormalities with the aim of improving the medical care and procedures available to both save lives and provide a better quality of life for those suffering from neurological complications and diseases.
Sam loved life and lived it to the full. She was a devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and an amazing friend to everyone she met. In the short time she was in hospital her personality continued to shine through, also touching the hearts of the neurological team looking after her.
Sam kept a charm on her key ring inscribed with 'dream big and follow your heart' ....... and she truly wished that for everyone around her.
Instead of flowers for the funeral we think Sam would love you to donate instead, in the hope that those amazing devoted surgeons and medical teams can one day help every single very special person, like Sam, to continue loving life and spreading such joy.
Thanks for taking the time to make a donation
