We fund care, campaigning and research to achieve a world free from MND

Story

Motor neurone disease (MND) describes a group of diseases that affect the nerves (motor neurones) in the brain and spinal cord that tell your muscles what to do. With MND, messages from these nerves gradually stop reaching the muscles, leading them to weaken, stiffen and waste.

Sadly Prof. Stephen Hawkings has recently passed away after living with this disease. There is no current cure for MND.

My mums best friend  Vicky has unfortunately recently been diagnosed, which has been very difficult for many of us. So I am doing this to raise as much money as possible towards research and care for many people with this horrible condition, MND.

I MUST run at least 1 mile per day, and cannot miss a day. However my target is to have reached at least 1000 miles by the end of the year.

Throughout the year I will be running in many specific fundraisers such as the Great Manchester 10k, The Great North Run, and many more.

Please give generously for this difficult challenge, and great cause. It would mean the world to me, my family, the MND Association, and most importantly Vicky!!
